About the Doctors
Dr. Gary Shanker, Dr. Jonathan Shanker and Dr. Brian Schlueter work as a team of experienced orthodontists striving for one common goal – to provide their patients with the highest level of orthodontic care available.
Dr. Gary Shanker
Dr. Gary Shanker graduated from Washington University in 1964 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. In 1968 he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee and in 1972 his postdoctoral degree in Orthodontics from Washington University.
Dr. Gary Shanker has served as an assistant professor of orthodontics at Washington University, where he has lectured and taught clinical orthodontics for over 15 years. In addition, his lectures have been presented to orthodontists, orthodontic graduate students and dental study groups.
Dr. Jonathan Shanker
Dr. Jonathan Shanker attended Boston University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. In 2000 he graduated with distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Jonathan graduated from a three-year residency program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2003 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with a Masters of Science degree.
In March of 2007, Dr. Shanker received his board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Brian Schlueter
Dr. Brian A. Schlueter graduated from Texas Christian University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. In 2001 he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. After Dental School, he completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency training at the David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB in California. Following three years of service in the United States Air Force, Dental Corps, Dr. Schlueter obtained his Masters of Science in Dentistry and postgraduate orthodontic training at St. Louis University in 2006.
In March of 2007, Dr. Schlueter received his board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.
